revolution is a word people define as a radical & persuasive change.
And in this post, ii call it mugging revolution.
ii started schooling at age 3. kindergarten was a playground ii couldnt find at home. only know what a school is when ii enter primary one; but didnt know what "mug" means.
primary five was the year that ii knew ii got to study
hard, but never knew how.
flipping textboook pages meant studying
hard to me.
solving maths problem sums meant a secured A*.
in
secondary school, bitching & gossiping meant more to me.
paying attention was rare. too fun-driven.
failed my maths & science from secondary one to three.
nearly couldnt take add. maths.
what a joke.
secondary 4. had made a mental note that it was an important year some years ago.
thought O levels would be the most difficult exams ii will take in my 16 years of life.
but still, it didnt mean ii start revising early.
ii was still failing during prelims. it was crapp.
but ii studied (eventually)
And O levels turn out to be probably one of the easiest exams in my life.
college. ii thought was like secondary school.
but, completely different.
last minute studying didnt work; & ii never like studying.
it was bad. so bad that ii didnt even want to study,
this was the reason why ii fared so badly. & why ii withdrew from college.
den today, doing
banking & financial services.
maybe it was the interest, or that very fact that ii left college that make feel that life is in a way or another screwed, & ii shouldnt ruin it all over again.
but today, ii am mugging harder than anytime in my, now 19 years of life.
mugging was a term never used before, but used today.
ii remembered vaguely it wasnt that bad in PSLE.
Nor in O levels or the one awesome year of college life.
poly modules are easy. & sometimes crappy.
but it is the very first time in my life ii am serious about studies (for once).
it was a breeze to pass exams now, but it was the distinctions ii am after now.
mugging is defined in too different a way too many times.
ii know it's kinda random, when ii should be mugging on FMRP now.
but it hit me so hard that ii felt a need to jot it down.
And 2 years later, when ii am doing my degree, ii probably can compare again the differences between mugging in diploma days & degree days. :D :D
on a happier note,
ii felt really really happy talking to linda over lunch & stuff today. so much things to talk about!! superr love her!! (: (:And off to sleep now, before mugging on FMRP tonight. :D :D
